Le Crete Senesi are located in the south of Siena: a desert of clay hills between ‘calanchi’ and ‘biancane’ (hill structures which are characteristic of the area) offering views of small villages and Benedictine abbeys.
The lunar landscape alternating with green and yellow wheat fields, depending on the season in which it is visited, jealously hides the real treasure of this corner: the white truffle.
Pecorino cheese and artichokes represent two typical and unique products of the agriculture of the Crete Senesi.
